Fishing: Gold, Rare Catches & Eggs

Fishing eggs: required gear & chances

Only Special Fishing Rod + Special Bait can obtain eggs. Every other setup has a 0% egg chance and can still catch normal fish.

Egg chance per cast: 0.0072% at fishing 1, growing to 0.072% at fishing 150: ten times higher. Both Special Fishing Rod and Special Bait are required. Eggs are independent of catching a fish and can appear in manual fishing, AFK and new offline trips using that gear.

Species depend on the fishing region; Piwing is exclusive to the Premium Edron sea. Every region uses the same tier chances: D 35%, C 30%, B 20%, A 12%, S 3%.

At six seconds per cast, the theoretical average ranges from one egg every 23h 9m at fishing 1 to every 2h 19m at fishing 150. This is not a guaranteed time reward. Species and tier are rolled after finding an egg.

Where to fish each egg

First, each cast rolls whether it finds an egg. Species is then selected only from that region; table percentages are shares among eggs found there, not per-cast chances. Tier is rolled separately.

Piwing is exclusive to the Edron sea. You must be Premium, stand on the Edron shore and cast into the sea in that area. Inland ponds and casting from Thais do not qualify. Offline trips keep their departure region; collecting elsewhere cannot change the possible eggs.

Rods are reusable; each attempt consumes one bait, even without a catch. Use a bait item in your backpack to select it, then use a rod on nearby visible water. Every setup can catch every rarity. Simple Bait favors steadier small profits; Special Bait offers more bites and better quality, with a higher investment and a risk of losing gold. Profit is not guaranteed.

Skill provides benefits from 1 to 150: fish quality, expected bait return and especially eggs. With Special Fishing Rod and Special Bait, expected fish sales return 80% to 120% of bait spent depending on skill: −20% to +20% average net return. A hundred Special Bait costs 2,000 gold; expected sales range from 1,600 initially to 2,400 at fishing 150. Simple Fishing Rod with Simple Bait targets 2,000 net gold per active hour at fishing 1, rising to 2,500 at fishing 150, after bait costs. At six seconds per cast this uses 600 bait per hour: 1,800 gold spent and 3,800–4,300 gold in expected fish sales. Special Fishing Rod with Simple Bait averages 10% more net gold. Neither setup can find eggs. The −20% to +20% average-return rule applies to Special Bait, not Simple Bait. These are long-run averages: an individual batch can win or lose more. Rods are reusable purchases, and egg value is not included.

You can also discover Coralip, Astralyn, Mallow, Bunbit, Piwing or Seadry eggs as an additional reward. Only Special Fishing Rod with Special Bait can find eggs; fishing skill increases the chance up to level 150. An egg that cannot fit in your backpack remains reserved: make room and use !fish collect.

These are the four fish appearances used by the system. Names vary by region; inspect your catch for its rarity, weight, length and value.

Fishing Regions & Nine Trophy Positions

Species vary between Thais, Pirate Coast, Southern Jungle and Eastern Ice Coast. Premium also accesses Edron Harbour, Edron Marsh and Western Frost Coast. Every catch records rarity, weight and length; inspect it with Look.

There are gold, silver and bronze positions in three categories: weight, length and rarity. Each character can hold one place per category. Records are registered on capture and remain after selling; earlier catches win ties.

Manual, AFK & Offline Fishing

4 daily hours for Free / 8 for Premium, per account. All characters and manual, AFK and offline modes share this allowance. It resets at midnight GMT-6; unused hours do not carry over.
  • !fish: check your remaining time and selected bait.
  • !fish afk on / !fish afk off: start or stop online automatic fishing. Available to Free and Premium.
  • !fish offline on / !fish offline off: Premium: prepare or cancel a trip before logout. Select your bait and stand beside fishable water; your best carried rod is selected automatically.
  • !fish collect: collect offline catches, return unused reserved bait and claim pending eggs. Repeat if catches remain.
  • !fish stop: stop AFK and cancel a prepared trip that has not started; pending catches are kept.

Each offline trip reserves up to 1,000 bait, for a maximum of 1 hour and 40 minutes, also limited by remaining allowance, Premium expiry and the daily reset. Your character does not need to stay connected. It uses your departure skill and does not train fishing or pets. Manual and AFK fishing train fishing and grant experience to living active companions nearby.
